I will surely gather all of you…I will set them together like sheep in a fold, like a flock in its pasture; it will resound with people.
                                      (Mic 2:12 NRS)

We live in an age where we are well connected to each other…we are plugged in, wired, facebooked, texted,  im’d and twittered all the time.  But there is deeper meaning to connection that brings one closer to knowing oneself, knowing other people, and knowing God.  You can find people who are striving for that deeper connection at the churches of the Capital District. The United Methodist Church seeks to deepen the connection with community, both locally and globally, by focusing on four distinct areas where transformation can and does occur every day.  The four areas of focus are:

  • Combating the diseases of poverty by improving health globally
  • Engaging in ministry with the poor
  • Creating new places for new people and revitalizing existing congregations
  • Developing principled Christian leaders for the church and the world
The Capital District has aligned its ministries with these focus areas in mind.  Find out more about how you can connect in the Capital District, and how the people of the Capital District connect with our own communities and the world:
